Irish Senior Cup Championships 2009

University Arena, Limerick
April 16-18 2009
The
2009 Irish Senior Cup Finals Tournament took place at the National 50 Metre
Swimming Pool, in University of Limerick. The results are below. St Vincent's
won their first Women’s Irish Senior Cup Championship, beating Half Moon by
8-5. Half Moon’s Men won a thrilling Irish Senior Cup Final by 14-13 after
extra time.
The
Men’s ‘Team of the Tournament’ was Chris Hodgkinson, Stiofán McMahon, Johnny
Donnelly, (Cathal Brugha) Shane Moraghan, Gary O’Brien, Frank Rocuzzo (Half
Moon) Darren McHugh (Guinness). Chris and Stio were jointly awarded the ‘Player
of the Tournament’ accolade.
The
Women’s ‘Team of the Tournament’ was Julia Schmouster, Annie McMenamin (Half
Moon) Jennifer Murphy, Christine Kelly, Laura Murphy, Christine Barretto (St
Vincent's) Deirdre Cassidy (Cathal Brugha). St Vincent's Hole Forward, Christine
Barretto was named Player of the Tournament.
